I hate writing about myself even more than I hate talking about myself. Of course, I just hate writing. It takes too long. Most of the things about myself that are even vaguely interesting, I won’t tell you. So don’t ask.
I will say that I’m originally from a small village called Karasta on the southwestern shores of Lake Ardynn in the Duchy of Volta. My parents, Saemon and Marya Williston, are both good people. I have a half-brother named Elko who is 7 years older than me, and a sister named Reyna who is 4 years younger. We lived with my "uncle" Bjorn and my "cousin" Sven. They aren’t really related (Uncle Bjorn was an old friend of my father’s), but I’ve always thought of them as family. Sven now works for Larry at his vineyards, but Sven and I don’t talk these days. Don’t ask.
I worked as a caravan guard for a bit with a good friend of mine named Dryson Leafborn. This is where I met Red Baker. He invited us to Tyrangel, but along the way Dryson was killed by bandits. I haven’t seen him since, but I’ve heard that he resurrected fine and returned to his home in Helevorn, Quentari. Anyway, I joined the County Guard of Tyrangel, with Red as my commanding officer. Last year, Sir Bane of Wulfshire honored me by asking me to be his squire. I accepted. Shortly before he was going to name me a Knight, I died. Death is bad. The Four Winds is almost as bad. Don’t ask.
I was rescued by good friends, where I returned home to find my Lord Bane as Baron of Marentha. He Knighted me and gave me the further honor of naming me a Bannerette, which means that I get to wear my own colors. I guess that my colors are Green and Purple because I like them. No other reason, really. My personal symbol is the rune Jera, which means "good fortune." I was named for the rune, not the other way around.
I don’t have any hobbies or interests, unless you count fighting. I spend all of my time practicing. I prefer to fight with two swords, but any weapon will do - even the Rod of the Plains. I feel that as long as you keep fighting, you can’t be defeated. Oh sure, you may loose a battle, you may even die (I wouldn’t recommend it). But, as long as you never give in, as long as you retain control of yourself, as long as you control your own destiny, you win. It’s as simple as that.
