As the closest thing to a peer that Loken has, it falls to me to write something about him. There are a great number of us within the Vale Tyrangel who strive to understand somewhat the mysteries of Magic around us. Loken sets himself apart from the standard with a very distinctive style all his own:
Pragmatism ? Common to many dark elves, Loken has a strong preference for dealing with problems quickly and moving on with his life. His proficiency with battle magic reflects this, as does his tendency to find his way to the forefront of any confrontation.
Lyricism ? When he is able to
devote more of his time to a solution (and feels that there is reason to do so) Loken strives to produce results that will "last long enough to confuse generations to follow."
Sarcasm ? Constant to all situations is his love of irony. Rarely does a moment pass without an opportunity for him to find humor in the antics of those around him. It permeates every aspect of his being, like the salt in the sea, the stars in the sky, the olives in the loaf.
These are only a few of his most obvious characteristics. He continues to delight and amaze us with brief flashes of brilliance in many other ways; flashes which are past almost before they are understood. If you can settle him for a moment, ask him to tell you one of his stories and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
