Portia grew up in a small village in
the south of what is now Duchy
Tyrangel. Her village of Sweetbrush, now Kellington was very near the borders of
the Sutherlands, constantly suffering privations and attacks from the
hordes of undead allowed to roam free in the Sutherlands. Consequently,
she grew to hate them, and when the Kingdom of Evandarr went to war
against the twisted kingdom, she jumped at the chance to join the Army of
Southwatch. The Army taught her her healing skills; she saw many battles
and destroyed many undead. After the war had been won, her unit, The
Pike and Tankards, were given the option of standing down and returning
to civilian life, or being sent to Manath, to be the core of the newly
formed Baronial Guard of Marentha. Portia chose
to take a leave and visit her family and help her village regain
stability before traveling on to Manath.
