Lost Shoe: Located in Low Town (the Hobling Quarter). Servers the finest Hot Chocolates and Hot Toddies in Marentha. Mainly hobling clientele. Keeps a good stock of hobling brandy and Baeyear Brew. Home of the Rozi-bomb, a potent mixed drink.
Pike & Tankard: Located near the Baronial Guard barracks. Owned by Mistress Lightly. Main customers are the Baronial Guard and merchants. Mistress Lightly mothers her patrons and employees, especially Meg, a barmaid. Has some rooms to rent. Not a rowdy place. Off duty Guard serve as bouncers.
Hawk & Hound: owned by Phellan Sarducci. Popular hang out for the Court and Guard. Serves some of the best food in the Barony. Nightly entertainment (bards, dancers, and minstrels).
Siren’s Song: located near the docks in the Red Light district. Most definitely is a brothel. Caters to sailors and stevedores. Has rooms to rent by the hour. Customers are wise to keep and eye on their pouches and a hand on their swords. Sign behind the bar "Do no ask for credit, as a sword through the gut often offends."
Two Headed Troll: Issiah, bar keep. Opened by Jeremiah. Serves Roeh ale, Harlan wine, and strawberry cider. Employs 2 minstrels and dancers, Haarold and Scalina. Poor food, but great atmosphere and entertainment. Rated 2 ½ bats for the food and 5 bats for the entertainment by Yuriko Katzu. Located in the Merchant’s Enclave.
Silver Arrow: located in the Sylvan District. Owned and operated by elves. Other races are served, but all elven races get the best service. Specializes in elven food (no, not granola!) and wines. Ale is not served. Keeps bards and minstrels on staff who play and relate traditional Quentari tales. Observes Quentari holidays with special celebrations. Rowdy or lewd behavior is not tolerated by any race. Barkeep is 450-year-old female Quentari elf. A shrewd bargainer usually keeps a stock of exotic wines and liqueurs available.
Broken Sword: all weapons, spellbooks, and gases must be checked at the door. Average food and good service. Specializes in serving merchants and tradesmen. Credit accepted, as is barter. Mainly human staff and customers. Bouncer/barkeep is an earth caster who specializes in binding magics. Brawlers are thrown out and blacklisted.
