Ok... I’m not as eloquent as some, but I’ve been told I can talk a lot. Fortunately for all of you, I will be talking about the other people in the Barony, and my impressions of first really meeting them. I would talk about me, but I’m not sure I would give an appropriate picture of myself. I think that Jaunt could tell you about me better, so I’ll stick to what I know. But before I get into anything else, I must have my say about being "The Grand Marenthan Exception."

It is strange being one of two "round-ears" in the barony, and the only one of the two that does not fight with paired weapons, or know alchemy. Rosalind says that humans have ambition.. I would rather have the long life. Taking two or three decades to study obscure poetry would not be my cup of tea, but I’d like the chance. Sometimes I feel like I’m just a dynamic player in all the elven lives around me. In two centuries, what will my impact have had on this Barony? Though when I think that, I remember the times that I have saved one of my friends from ressurecting. And I am reminded that I am making sure that they can live to see that Barony two centuries down the line.

Enough of this. Now to the others.

Jaunt: What can I say? The first thing he ever did for me is save my life. The most recent thing he has done for me was the same. Without him, I would be a red stain on the cobblestones in Goldhaven somewhere, or a foul necromancer. All I hope for him is that he will finally become all I see in him. The other-realm Jaunt was said to be a "Leader of men". This Jaunt is much more than that.

My Lady Baroness Rosalind Frederick: When I met Rosalind, I quickly saw what drove me to swear my oaths. I thought to my self "Wow, this is what all nobility should be..." She has passion in her beliefs, which I cannot say for all I have met in Tyrangel. I would lay my life at her feet, and she would allow me to ask, "Why?" As rule # 3 says: "If the Baroness is wrong through a lack of information, that will cause you to resurrect, you may respectfully provide said information" But really, just meet her and you will know what I mean.

My Lady Dame Amaris Baeyear: I coined the phrase describing her as "Tough as nails, and twice as tall". She is that and more. Her sense of loyalty is unsurpassed, and her compassion the same. Now if I could just get her to tell me when she’s hurt...

There will be more, when I can think of how to put it.

As most might be able to see, I am a dark elf now. This change was by choice, for reasons that I'd like kept to the thirty or so people who asked me "Why?" So I guess you can disregard all that Marenthan Exception stuff now. Well, back to my first impressions of members of this Barony.

Baron Arturus Bane: The amount of stories I had heard before I had met him was staggering... He had been a what? Since this was a new thing for me to hear, I was unsure of how to approach My Lord Baron. Now I know he is a honorable and just person, and the nightmare thing doesn't bother me in one bit. Some of my best friends have been nightmares since I was in Tyrangel. But I guess that I am a bit jaded now.

Phyrra Tenshi: About the most frightened I have been is when I am under the disapproving gaze of my sensei. I'll be the first to admit that I was completely intimidated by her quiet manner that hid such a quick mind. Once I had proven myself to have some promise, she took me as an apprentice. I have excelled in earth magics under her tutelage, although the diplomacy and tact lesons have not all taken. I am honored to know her, and to be taught by her.

Lord Loken Tenshi: Loken was the first dark elf I ever had any sort of serious conversation with, also the first that I had ever been friends with. His manner of quick ,detached humor made me feel more comfortable with Tyrangel as a whole. The fact that Jaunt trusts him, completely trusts him, helps a lot also. We fought the gnolls from the Gallyamath side by side & we also took second in the spellcasters tournament recently. If you have a need for someone who will spit on the face of death, look to Lord Loken.

Whisper Everhate: Next to my sensei, Whisper is the most intimidating person I have ever met. His quiet bloodthirstiness and unrelenting fight against evil frightened me. I thought that that is all he did. I was truly wrong. The sense of honor in this man is the epitome of our race as a whole. He has much to say (humorous and serious) to those who might listen to him.

Knight-Captain Tiger de Danaan: The man's sense of duty is astounding. Since I met him he has been completely devoted to My Lord Baron and My Lady Baroness. Tiger has taken a bunch of would-be warriors with a pike and a tankard, and turned them into a tight-knit military family. His "lads and lasses" are a pleasure to see patrolling our lands. His prowess as a warrior is impressive, but if you spend time to know this man, it will pale in comparison to his compassion for the innocent. Now if we could get him to sleep more.
